Since one of the things I was most looking forward on this trip, was all the key lime pie I was going to be able to eat, here's an entry devoted just to that dessert :) If I counted correctly (and I think I did), I ate a total of 7 pieces on this trip. Can you say yummy!!!!!
Straight from the airport, we went to Bubba Gump's. Because as you know, I think they have THE best anywhere. I tried like the dickens to get the recipe, but they would have to kill me if they gave it to me. But, I did find out it has cream cheese in it. which explains why I love it so much :) I actually had 2 at this restaurant, one in Ft Lauderdale and one in Miami:
Then, on the ship, the embarkation lunch on the Lido deck had some (only 1 piece here):
That makes 3 slices so far. THEN, in key west, I had 4 slices! Don't judge me, I was on vacation, and this was my plan :) By 9 a.m. I was eating my 1st slice at Kermits:
Then I had the most delicious chocolate covered, frozen on a stick slice at the Blonde Giraffe (I ate another one of these right before we boarded the ship) And yes, it was VERY HUMID in Key West!!!!!
And of course, one at the HRC:
That makes 7 right???? Actually, I almost had 8. After the cruise, we tried to go to Bubba Gumps again but there was this huge boat show in that area. Parking was $50!!! I love their pie, but not that much LOL
This trip is worth repeating, if only for the key lime pie :)

Ok, now I have a powerful craving for key lime pie! That frozen chocolate covered one looked heavenly!
